The EECA Government subsidy, Warmer Kiwi Homes Grant, will now cover 80% of the total cost of ceiling and underfloor insulation. This change will take effect as of 20 May 2021.
An average 100sqm ceiling and underfloor home insulation would cost approximately $3000 plus GST, however, if you are eligible under the Warmer Kiwi Homes Grant it would cost you approximately $600 plus GST.
Are you eligible:
You own and live in a home built before 2008
You (the owner) have a Community Services Card or live in an area identified as low-income (Use the application-tool to check your address)
Your home doesn't have ceiling and underfloor insulation
If you have applied for an insulation grant for a previous house, ka pai, you can apply again.
